Safer Outdoor Options to Consider

We realize that even after learning about the numerous risks of free-roaming from our partners, your cat may already be used to outdoor experiences.  We hope that even if you won't consider keeping your cats indoors, that you'll explore these safer options.

Cat Leashes

Not just for dogs!  Cats can be leash-trained.  We will update this section with training tips and links to leashes available online.

Catio Enclosures

Keep your cats safe, secure, and in view on your property.  Catios can be constructed with metal or wooden beams.  If you're handy, you can find plans online and construct one on your own to save some money.  The possibilities are endless!  We will update this section with more info and links to catio plans available online.

Window Boxes

Give your indoor cat a room with a view!  Cats can get a taste of the outdoors without leaving your living room.  They can be clear plexiglass to go with any house trim, and provide your cat with an unobstructed view.  Other options are made with wood and heavy duty mesh or metal barring to give kitties some fresh air.  A window box won't give your cats much room to roam like a catio enclosure would, but they are more economical and easier to install (similar to installing a window air conditioner).  We will update this section with more info and links to window boxes available..
